I ran across this column from the New York Times Eric Asimov. His sentiments about California Cabernet’s is very similar to my feeling:”The prevailing Napa style of plush, oak-laden overwhelmingly fruity and powerful cabernets is simply not for me, no matter how high these wines are rated or how much acclaim they receive. ”
